Jaguar's headlining act at next week's 2011 Geneva Auto Show will be a modern-day incarnation of the E-Type, but this very blue 2012 Jaguar XKR-S, the hottest XK car to date, will also be on the company's stand. Jaguar told Inside Line correspondent Paul Lienert that the XKR-S will arrive at U.S. dealers this fall. The existing 510-horsepower XKR is already a lot to gather up on a damp road course, but Jaguar has squeezed yet more power out of the blown 5.0-liter V8 for the XKR-S, which carries ratings of 542 hp and 502 pound-feet of torque (up from 461 lb-ft). Fortunately, Jaguar engineers have also done some work on the suspension to make the car easier to work with on/near the limit. The company is mum on the exact changes that were made, but does note that the XKR's adaptive dampers have been retuned just for the "-S" model. Next question, of course, is how fast?
